Performance at the Star-Club in Hamburg, West Germany, as part of their Star-Club residency.

The Beatles second spell at The Star-Club, playing for two weeks straight. They were lucky enough to share the bill with their long-time idol Little Richard again. Fifteen-year-old Billy Preston was part of his backing band, and he immediately struck up a friendship with George: “He came up to me after the show. We were the youngest two there and that drew us together. It was a very exciting time for both of us… I always used to watch The Beatles from the wings. One night George asked me to come out and play with them, because my organ was still sitting there. But I said no – because Little Richard would have gone mad!”
