Yoko’s ‘Half-A-Wind’ show opened at the Lisson Gallery. It was basically just a load of stuff chopped-in-half and painted white… beds, chairs, tables etc. “I was feeling like a half at the time,” she explained, helpfully. “The other half of me was empty,” she said. “The piece was a reflection of the metaphysical room within me. Everything we see is just the tip of an iceberg. I think of this show as an elephant’s tail. Somebody said that I should also put half-a-person in the show. But we are halves already.” John said: “Everything was in half: There was half a bed, half a room, half of everything, all beautifully cut in half and painted white. It was presented as ‘Yoko Plus Me’ – but I didn’t even go to the show, I was too uptight.”

The most amusing piece was called ‘The Stone’ …
