Tommy Moore quit the group because his girlfriend wanted him to get a proper job. The boys tried storming round his house to beg him back, but the old battle-axe shouted out the window: “You can all piss off, go on! He’s not playing with you anymore. He’s got a job at Garston bottle-works on the night-shift!”

Finding themselves drummer-less (again), John got up on stage and asked the crowd if there was anyone handy with the sticks, but unfortunately for him a big ugly tree called Ronnie rolled up, and he enjoyed himself so much that he threatened to stay – forever! And they had to ask Allan Williams to get rid of him.
