Recording session for the radio show ‘Scene And Heard’ This show was transmitted on 30th September (BBC Radio 1) and featured an interview with George Harrison.

Spencer Davis (of The Spencer Davis Group) recalled a day down the pub: “I was staying with my wife and daughters at the Tywarnhale pub in Perranporth, which was owned by the parents of our roadie, Alec Leslie. I knew the Beatles quite well, so when I heard that they were filming in Newquay I called up and asked their roadie, Mal Evans, what was going on. So he invites me down the pub and I’m sitting in the bar when in walks in Paul and Ringo. The punters in the pub just couldn’t believe it. Ringo stationed himself at the bar, and Paul, being the sort of character he is, just grins at everybody and shouts out, Evening all. He stuck a pint of beer atop the piano and said, I’m the pub pianist and I’m taking requests. Then he sat belting out pub songs all night with everybody singing …
