Performance at the Olympia Theatre in Paris, France. They played From Me To You, Roll Over Beethoven, She Loves You, This Boy, Boys, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Twist And Shout and Long Tall Sally.

‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ went to number one in America’s ‘Cashbox’ chart (it went to number one in ‘Billboard’ a few weeks later), sparking wild celebrations in the Beatles’ suite. Mal Evans remembered: “They went mad! They always act this way when anything big happens – just a bunch of kids, jumping up and down with sheer delight. Paul climbed on my back demanding a piggyback. They felt that this was the biggest thing that could have happened. Gradually they quietened down, ordered some more drinks and sat down to appreciate fully what had happened.
