John and Cynthia flew to the Alps with George Martin and his missus to do a bit of skiing, and the very next day George broke his toe! “We went back to the hotel,” he cried, “to have our hot chocolate drink, and we were pretty excited about the whole thing. And John, in taking off his outer garments, revealed his skin black tights, which one always wears underneath ski pants, and he started doing an impression of Max Wall (the comedian), which really was very, very funny. He stuck his bottom out and pretended to be playing the piano. He pulled his hair down over his eyes and stuck his teeth out. It really was very funny, and we were falling about laughing.
