Recording session at EMI Studios No. 1 (14:30–17:30) during which they recorded I Am The Walrus.

A further session took place between 19:00–03:30 in Studio 3 at which they recorded I Am The Walrus and The Fool On The Hill.

John subscribed to Yoko’s amusing ‘postal art event’, where – for the princely sum of £1 – every subscriber received a postcard in the morning containing some of Yoko’s words of wisdom. Some of her better ones were: “Breathe at midnight”; “Colour yourself and wait for the spring to come”; “Draw a large circle in the sky”, and “Boil water and watch until it evaporates.” John was also persuaded to fund her forthcoming show at the Lisson Gallery, on the proviso that she keep his involvement a secret. (So she immediately blabbed it to the press, and made a less-than-subtle reference to him in the programme notes.) is not affiliated with or approved by The Beatles, Apple, MPL, EMI or Capitol Records.
