John came face-to-face with the knicker-wetting, leather-wearing Welsh wizard, Tom Jones, on the set of TV’s ‘Thank Your Lucky Stars’. His well-known song ‘It’s Not Unusual’ had just entered the charts and it’s safe to say that John wasn’t it’s biggest-ever fan… Tom said: “When I first went on there with ‘It’s Not Unusual’ the Beatles were on there as well. And we all had to do a camera rehearsal in the afternoon. So I’m sitting there waiting for the Beatles to come out, just to see them close up.
