John’s diary for today read: “Got up. Went to work. Got Home. Went to bed.”

Most of this day was wasted aimlessly jamming cover versions and old Quarrymen numbers – but as soon as they tried getting down to some serious rehearsals they just pissed each other off. But Paul managed to debut ‘Let It Be’, and serious work was done on George’s ‘All Things Must Pass’. And even Ringo chucked in a couple of numbers – ‘Picasso’, and ‘Taking A Trip To Carolina’. An amusing episode occurred when George got an electric shock from his microphone, and Paul joked to the technicians that they would be held accountable if he died. George then promptly shocked himself again – much to everyone’s joy! (Except George’s.) This whole skit was included in the ‘Let It Be’ movie.
