Performance at the KB Hallen in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of their World Tour. They played I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Saw Her Standing There, You Can’t Do That, All My Loving, She Loves You, Till There Was You, Roll Over Beethoven, Can’t Buy Me Love, This Boy and Long Tall Sally.

The Beatles (and Jimmy Nicol) flew to Denmark for the start of their world tour. The first show was at KB Hallen, near Copenhagen, and Jimmy took to the stage wearing Ringo’s suit – because they didn’t have time to make him one! They also ended the set a song early, because Jimmy didn’t fancy singing Ringo’s solo slot. He recalled: “The day before this, the girls weren’t interested in me at all. But the day after, with the suit and Beatle haircut, riding around in the limo with John, Paul and George, they were dying just to get a touch of me! It was very strange and also quite scary.”

He also had a hairy encounter on Dutch TV. They appeared on ‘Vara’, miming to a pre-existing backing track. But when the kids invaded the stage Jimmy was left sitting on his own banging away while …
