Performance at the Kaiserkeller in Hamburg, West Germany, as part of their Kaiserkeller residency.

After receiving numerous police complaints about the noise, Koschmeider was forced to shut-up the Indra and bring back the strippers. The Beatles, presumably, weren’t too keen on flashing their bits all over the place so he moved them to his other club down the road, called the Kaiserkeller. This was situated at number 36, and was a much better place with a delightful nautical theme: a boat-shaped bar (complete with real drunken sailors propping it up), fishing nets on the roof and port-holes on the wall. It even had a piano on stage and a man-mountain on the door, Horst Fascher. He was an old featherweight boxer who had done time for manslaughter (not somebody you want to mess with). He had all of his mates from the Hamburg Boxing Academy (collectively knows as Hoddel’s Gang) …
