Recording session for the radio show ‘Late Night Extra’ at the Apple Boutique This show was transmitted live (BBC Radio 1 & 2) and featured an interview with John Lennon.

John and George attended the grand opening of the Apple Boutique at 94 Baker Street. Ringo was still filming and Paul was on holiday, so they missed it. The party was set to start at 8.16 p.m. and the fashion show began at “8.46 sharp”. They invited all their famous mates along and celebrated by drinking apple juice all night. John explained: “Clive Epstein, or some other business freak, came up to us and said you’ve got to spend so much money, or the tax will take it. So Paul had a nice idea about opening up white houses, where we would sell white china and things like that, everything white, because you can never get anything white, you know, which was pretty groovy. But it didn’t end up like that; it ended up with Apple and all this junk and The Fool and all those stupid …
