The ‘News Of The World’ printed transcripts of a conversation that took place at the London club Blases, between Mick Jagger and two undercover journalists. They claimed that Jagger downed a Benzedrine tab, bragged about his hashish stash, and invited them back to his flat “for a smoke.” But there was one slight snag – they didn’t have a conversation with Mick Jagger at all – they had it with Brian Jones, and they couldn’t tell the difference! So Jagger threatened the ‘News Of The World’ with libel (bad move!) and one week later the cops busted him for possession. is not affiliated with or approved by The Beatles, Apple, MPL, EMI or Capitol Records.
