‘Monkeemania’ was now in full swing, and Micky Dolenz spent the evening round Paul’s flat. “I didn’t even want to meet him,” he recalled. “I mean, what do you say? It’s like meeting God! I felt that the daily papers set up my meeting with Paul, causing embarrassment to him. I was really upset by it.… I thought it was terrible. We just sat there, got stoned and watched television. And if you have a TV and the channel isn’t perfectly tuned in, you know, like snow, well, that’s what we watched. For four hours, just watching the snow on television.” is not affiliated with or approved by The Beatles, Apple, MPL, EMI or Capitol Records.
