Performance at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada, attended by 35,522 people, as part of their First American Tour. They played Twist And Shout, You Can’t Do That, All My Loving, She Loves You, Things We Said Today, Roll Over Beethoven, Can’t Buy Me Love, If I Fell, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Boys, A Hard Day’s Night and Long Tall Sally.

The Beatles flew to Toronto, Canada, and had their usual rigmarole of trying to get into the hotel without having their heads ripped off. Paul said: “I thought I was for it, but an immense copper lifted me up and shoved me into the elevator.” They caused a rumpus the next morning when they refused to meet the local mayor. He complained: “I got a very rude reception. I was told by The Beatles’ press officer that two of them were asleep and two of them were with relatives, and then she slammed the door in my face!” John said: “That’s one of Derek’s stories where we were asleep after the session, in a hotel somewhere in America, and this mayor’s wife comes and says, ‘Get them up!
