They played another show at the Palais Ballroom in Aldershot later in the day.

The Beatles played a gig in Aldershot and only eighteen people turned up. Sam Leach said: “I’d meant to put an ad in the paper but it hadn’t got out. Maybe I forgot. We went round all the local cafes, telling people, ‘Hey, there’s a dance on up the road.’ We said that we’d let them in for nothing if they came.” The Beatles were so depressed they ended up playing football with some Bingo balls on the floor, and got kicked out by the police! It was this near-disaster that persuaded them that they needed a full-time manager. is not affiliated with or approved by The Beatles, Apple, MPL, EMI or Capitol Records.
