Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (14:30–22:15) during which they recorded Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.

John’s first session after his car crash. Yoko was quite badly hurt and she still couldn’t get out of bed, so John had Harrod’s wheel a new one into the studio (and he was ribbed mercilessly for weeks!). He even strapped a microphone above her head in case she wanted to say something. A visiting dignitary said: “I was at Abbey Road and there was Yoko lying on the bed in the studio and walking around in a see-through nightdress. That stuck in my mind. I thought, now that’s a bit unusual. But that was how it had to be.” is not affiliated with or approved by The Beatles, Apple, MPL, EMI or Capitol Records.
