Tuesday, 2nd November

Recording session for the TV show ‘The Music Of Lennon & McCartney’ at the Granada TV Centre. This show was broadcast on 16th December (Granada) and featured music and interviews with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They played Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out.

Wednesday, 3rd November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (14:30–23:30) during which they recorded Michelle.

Thursday, 4th November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (ended at 03:30) during which they recorded What Goes On and 12-Bar Original.

Saturday, 6th November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (19:00–01:00) during which they recorded I’m Looking Through You.

Monday, 8th November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (21:00–15:00) during which they recorded Think For Yourself.

Wednesday, 10th November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (21:00–04:00) during which they recorded The Word and I’m Looking Through You.

Thursday, 11th November

Recording session at EMI Studios No. 2 (18:00–07:00) during which they recorded You Won’t See Me, Girl, Wait and I’m Looking Through You.

Tuesday, 23rd November

The Beatles gathered at Twickenham film studios to record promos for ‘We Can Work It Out’, ‘Day Tripper’, ‘Help!’, ‘Ticket To Ride’ and ‘I Feel Fine’. They had received so many requests for British TV appearances that it was impossible to fulfil them all, so Brian came up with the idea of doing music videos. “The idea was to send them to America,” said George. “Because we thought, well, we can’t go everywhere. So I suppose, in a way, we invented MTV.”

Thursday, 25th November

Harrods was shut-up for three hours, so The Beatles could do their Christmas shopping.

Monday, 29th November

Recording session for the radio show ‘Saturday Club’ at the Aeolian Hall Studios This show was transmitted on 25th December (BBC Light Programme) and featured interviews with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
