This was supposedly released to celebrate the first anniversary of ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ entering the American charts, although it actually came out one month before. Sales were dented somewhat by the hefty price tag – Capitol charged $8 for a mono copy and $10 for a stereo (double the cost of a normal LP). But it still managed to sell a million inside six months.

It doesn’t contain any songs, as such, just snippets of tunes, interviews and narration by John Babcock, over some orchestral versions of their No.1 hits.
