4-star review  from  Roy

I often find that I stick this on the radio instead of their other "better" albums like Abbey Road. I just like it. I don’t know why. I like the whole feel of it, the laid-back studio sound. Its probably my second favourite album after the White Album.

Apparently people were a little bit disappointed by this at the time, but I don’t understand that. Why? It’s got Let It Be, Get Back and The Long And Winding Road on it, coupled with some other good ones like Across The Universe and One After 909.

I have to admit I like the inclusion of Don’t Let Me Down on the Let It Be Naked version, and am surprised they left it out the first time. Why did they do that? Apparently because it was on a single. But so was Get Back and Let It Be, so that argument doesn’t work. If I was John I would have been insisted that it found a place because it’s a lot better than some of his other ones that are on here (Dig A Pony and Dig It could both have made way for it).

But that is just a minor quibble. I love this album.

5-star review  from  Mike C

Tough one here, but I’m going with Let It Be as their best album. They truly saved the best for last and "left it all in the studio". The lunchtime concert on that windy January day on the roof of the EMI building was unforgetable. Billy Preston playing the keyboard on "Get Back" was awesome.
