This is easily better than the British version (With The Beatles) because they put in 3 extra good ones – I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Saw Her Standing There and This Boy.

That is one reason why I prefer the American albums over the British ones. Firstly, because they are the ones I grew up with and they are the ones I am used too. (i still cant get used to With The Beatles, howe’ver many times I listen to the CD! ). And secondly, because the American people didn’t mind putting in their singles.
I never understood why they left them off the British ones. In those days, the singles were the stand-out songs. If you had a great song, you put it out as a single. And when you listen to an album, you want to hear all those great songs. You don’t want to keep getting out your I Want To Hold Your Hand single and flipping over the side every 3 minutes.

If you compare Meet The Beatles! With With The Beatles then I think you can see it has got more great songs on it, even if it wasn’t what the Beatles wanted.

One of the Beatles best early LPs. Far better mix then their UK counterparts. This is the way to hear the Beatles. Contains the classics… I Want To Hold Your HandThis BoyI Saw Her Standing ThereI Wanna Be Your Man… well to put it straight… every song on here is a classic… just a great album!

I grew up with these 4 lads from Liverpool greatest group of all time! First time saw them perform on the ED SULLIVAN SHOW back in 1964. Their music was and still is an awesome one of a kind sound. Young kids should listen to their music and not the crap they listen to today!
