5-star review  from  Guy

This is my all-time favourite Beatles album. 9 times out of 10, this is the one I will stick on the radio when I want to listen to the Beatles.
it’s just such a happy, bouncy album, with some classic tunes.

Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), Nowhere Man, Michelle, girl, and In My Life are five classic Beatle tracks. They are up there in the first division. And the ones that I rank just below them – Drive My Car, You Won’t See Me, If I Needed Someone, I’m Looking Through You – would happily grace the albums of any of their contemporaries.

My only gripe with this album is what they left off. Imagine how amazing the album would be if they put on both sides of the single as well – Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out! If they included those and took out the word and Run For Your Life then it would have been the greatest album of all time.

5-star review  from  Billy Harbinson

Some think that Revolver was the Beatles turning point but for me it is this album. I am a 64 year old male living in belfast, n. Ireland and for me the Beatles broke the the mould between my parents music and what I identified as my music.

5-star review  from  Sputnik

Without a doubt the turning point in their development from musical adolescence to maturity, especially regarding John Lennon (the wry irony of "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), " the brilliant and ahead of its time social commentary of "Nowhere Man" ["doesn’t have a point of view"] and the lovely "In My Life"). Also has George Harrison’s best early song ("If I Needed Someone"). The mean spirited finale ("Run For Your Life") adds nothing to the proceedings, but still a five star album and a worthy companion piece to "Revolver.".
