5-star review  from  Doug

The best Beatles single ever. End of story. End of argument, and the end of the discussion.
Whilst there are plenty of other good ones to choose from, I think this is best for 3 reasons.

1) it has the loveliest melody of any of their A-sides.
2) the na-na-na ending is just epic, and still gives me goose bumps listening to it when I am in the right mood to just sit down and give it a good listen
3) the B-side is top-notch too – and completely different to the A-side. I really do think that if Paul hadnt come up with as good a song as Hey Jude, this would easily have reached number 1 of its own accord. The other B-sides around this period were all good songs (things like Old Brown Shoe), but they werent really A-sides. Hey Jude and Revolution should really have been a double A-side.
