5-star review  from  Guy

I often wonder what people would make of She Loves You if someone released it today. It would probably not even be noticed. It is hard for us to imagine what it must have been like to hear this in 1963, when pop music was still quite new. – remember that people like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin were still riding high in the charts, and Bill Haley and his comets were even newer to them, than Oasis are to us today (… Oasis broke through 20 years ago now. I couldn’t believe it when someone told me that! )

So for teenagers to suddenly hear something like She Loves You must have been a thrill. This single was right on the cusp of Something New, before London was about to welcome the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and a very young Eric Clapton.

How I wish I could turn the clocks back to then!
