The Beatles -- ‘Something’

Something – Read reviews

5-star review  from  Richard Dredge

This song not only reveals George Harrison as a songwriter to be reckoned with but also reveals the musicianship of all four Beatles as they compliment it perfectly, George’s solo is up with Clapton and Green here and McCartney’s Rickenbacker ads texture, as do most of them during his membership of the band, Ringo also gives it emotion, the harmonies are thereā€¦ it seems that all of the lads can understand Harrison’s composition about his then wife Patsy Boyd who would leave him for Clapton later, and this song seems to be a final farewell to the woman he loves, so much so that he is prepared to let her go to make her happy, one of the greatest Love Songs ever written.
