The Beatles -- ‘The Ballad Of John And Yoko’

The Ballad Of John And Yoko – Read reviews

3-star review  from  Yuri

It is a simple nice song, no complexity. But complexity is not a must. Simple nice song with the grooves having John and Paul team together vocally in the last verse, nice bass, witty words… Provides a good spirit. Not a masterpiece, just a fine and groovy song. And why it made it to #1 and stayed in charts for quite a bit-i believe mostly because of the specifics of time-people wanted to hear anything from the Beatles, their personal life; any word, verse or chord was overinterpreted and people found revelation in it. The magic of this epoch….
