The Beatles -- ‘Hello Little Girl’

Decca audition Hello Little Girl (1.40)

John Lennon: Lead vocal, rhythm guitar; Paul McCartney: Harmony vocal, bass guitar; George Harrison: Lead guitar; Drums: Pete Best

This was the very first song that John ever wrote. They performed it at their failed Decca audition in January ’62, and it’s since been made available on ‘Anthology 1’.

“I think it was the first song of my own that I ever attempted to do with the group,” he said.
