John Lennon: Lead vocal, guitar; Guitar: Eric Griffiths; Banjo: Rod Davis; Tea-chest bass: Len Garry; Washboard: Pete Shotton; Drums: Colin Hanton

This was recorded at Woolton Parish Fete, the same day that John met Paul. Bob Molyneux recorded it on a portable Grundig and later sold it at Sotheby’s for £78,500. The entire tape lasts for four minutes and includes one other song – ‘Baby Let’s Play House’.

Don’t bother looking for it on bootlegs because it’s never been released. The rights are currently owned by Yoko, who’s never slow to release a John CD, so maybe they’ll be made available one day.
