The Beatles -- ‘Slow Down’

Slow Down (2.56)

John Lennon: Double-tracked lead vocal, rhythm guitar; Paul McCartney: Bass guitar; George Harrison: Lead guitar; Ringo Starr: Drums; Piano: George Martin

This error-riddled song was recorded in six takes. You can hear a bad edit at 1:15, and a double-tracking error at 2:23 where it sounds like John’s singing a different word on each track.

Larry Williams became a massive Beatles fan after this, and no wonder – he earned more royalties from this one song alone than he did from his entire career!
